3150 and 3151 arehydroxypropyl polymer derived from nature guar bean. They are widely used as thickening agent, rheology modifier, and foam stabilizer in personal care products.
As nonionic polymer, 3150 and 3151 are compatible with cationic surfactant and electrolytes and stable over a large range of pH. They enable the formulation of hydroalcoholic gels offering a unique smooth feel. Moreover, 3150 and 3151 can enhance skin’s resistance to irritation caused by chemical detergent, and soften skin surface with smooth feel.
Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is an organic compound that is a water-soluble quaternary ammonium derivative of guar gum. It gives conditioning properties to shampoos and after-shampoo hair care products. Although a great conditioning agent for both skin and hair, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is especially beneficial as a hair care product. Because it is positively charged, or cationic, it neutralizes the negative charges on hair strands that cause hair to become static or tangled. Better yet, it does this without weighing hair down. With this ingredient, you can have silky, non-static hair that retains its volume.
